I joined the Project Management team for Carilion Clinics Technology Services Team in May of 2016. Our team is an integral part of the advancement of our EHR tool, Epic, hardware upgrades/installations and new/existing software for more than 150 applications. I am currently studying for the PMP accreditation and look forward to earning this accreditation.

I lead a team of 22 hourly and 4 exempt Application Analysts who support clinical and non-clinical staff resolve issues surrounding hardware, software and EPIC support. I am a member of the HDI Healthcare Providers Forum where I benchmark service desk metrics and processes with 25 other Healthcare organizations countrywide. In this role, I have successfully lead the team through the continuous change involved with IT. Together, we achieved improved metrics both individually and as a team. I partner daily with other work groups and teams within the organization to ensure quality, results driven work while maintaining best in class customer service to our customers. At Carilion Clinic, the most rewarding aspect of this job is the development of our staff and helping them reach their career goals. It has been my goal to ensure that each staff member uses their time within our team to learn about Carilion Clinic and market themselves through quality work to ensure properity within the company. This role has allowed me to mix my Training, Leadership, Project Managemetn, and Instructional Design experience to make a positive difference.

In this position, I worked across departments to plan and organize training resources, learning activities, communications, feedback, and assessment activities that resulted in an active student learning environment. In this position, I utilized the Dick and Carey Instructional Design Model. In this position I effectively created training materials for use across the enterprise and out-sourced locations to assist with the online learning tool known as RIO (Reference Information Online).

Performed quality assurance, instructional design, and classroom facilitation to develop new employees support IT equipment and software, ALSTAR, Alliance, and other valuable software utilized by the Allstate agency sales force. I worked with our partners in Northern Ireland to create training materials and delivered training to their staff to ensure an effective transfer of knowledge to our partners with Northbrook Technologies in Straebane, Northern Ireland. I found my niche with training and enjoyed the work relationships and people that I had the pleasure of working with each day.
