Research, analysis, development, communication and coaching, these are the activities that I am most passionate about. They are also the driving factors behind my education and career path. They have helped guide me from student to scientist, trainer, educator and now consultant.After graduating with a degree in Chemistry, I began my professional career as a chemist in the pharmaceutical industry. What I most enjoyed about that position was developing analytical methods and training materials and training analysts. I went back to school to get my teaching certification and while taking classes, I worked for a computer company designing and implementing training programs in Microsoft Office. Once I received my teaching certificate, I spent many years teaching chemistry to high school students. While teaching, I was constantly researching and learning new innovative techniques and methods to incorporate into my classroom. I loved trying new things and sharing my journey with other teachers. I went back to school again to obtain my master’s in educational innovation and technology with a certification in professional growth and development.I have recently started the next phase of my journey as a career consultant for students and alumni of the Herbert W. Boyer School of Natural Sciences, Mathematics and Computing at Saint Vincent College. I am excited to see where this new direction takes me!
