As a professional in the field of education, I have had the pleasure of experiencing so many amazing moments where a life has been changed forever for the better! Through working with special education students in the very beginning of my career, my passion for teaching, encouraging, and developing the lives of children has grown immensely. I recognize and respect the importance of shaping our citizens and leaders of tomorrow. It is definitely what I was born to do!First in my family to be college bound, I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. With the benefit of having been in the classroom as a teacher for many years, my ability to relate to the needs of the teacher combined with my educational training and professional experience allow me to be a well-rounded administrator in decision making and operational performance management. I believe that stakeholders, whether they be students, teachers, colleagues, parents, or community business partners, should serve an active role in the decision making process allowing their thoughts and ideas to be considered. Ultimately, the decisions made in education affect all stakeholders.My administrative and educational experiences have sharpened my skills in data management, charter school financial planning and management, curriculum planning and development, discipline planning and implementation, and operational systems management and development. I have had numerous opportunities to organize and develop processes for the opening, daily operation and closing of schools. As well, in the past year I have experienced the preplanning, development and approval process for a new charter school including the opportunity to successfully represent the school at the city council approval hearings. I am blessed to say that my professional career has been comprised of a wealth of meaningful experiences that have molded me into the successful administrator I am today!
