Founded the online luxury resale platform where consumers can Shop, Sell, Rent and Restore authentic designer handbags and accessories all in one place!As someone who is a high school drop out and grew up poor to immigrant parents it has always been a dream to own something luxurious since we never grew up around it. My journey began at a young age determined to have a taste of luxury and prove my parents wrong that success didn't mean I had to become a Doctor or Engineer like all my cousins. Driven by passion and led by a relentless pursuit to prove I could make a change in the designer luxury resale industry and break out of the mold set by my parents.Today, I continue to drive growth, innovation, inspire young entrepreneurs, and advocate for a more inclusive and sustainable fashion industry. I believe everyone deserves a little bit of luxury and should pave their own path to happiness and success.Milestones and Accomplishments:2018 - Launched Luxe Bag Spa in house for Luxe Du Jour making buying and selling secondhand goods more convenient than ever2021 - Opened the first Calgary Head Office and figured out how to train and lead a team the initial team of 102022 - Launched Luxe Bag Rental into the Luxe Du Jour platform to bridge a gap in the luxury fashion industry where lenders could monetize their bag collection by becoming a lender and renters can try it first before they buy it- Turned down a 30M acquisition offer from private equity and started learning about the value of scaling profitably 2023- After 18 months in development and 500k invested the Luxe Du Jour app was launched and I lead the whole project and product with no background in technology- Opened the first US head office in Irvine California using a copy and paste model I have created to simplify expansions and made it fully operational within 2 months with an initial team of 5 - Went on the Dragon's Den and successfully secured our first round of funding at a 30M valuation after the show- Generated over $70M in sales and tripled the size of our team that consisted of 90% young females who do not have fancy degrees like myself but passion, drive and sees the company's vision2024 - Accomplished a lot without having a co founder or a c-suite and now focussed on building out the executive team and attracting top talent that wants to be a part of our mission in making designer luxury affordable, accessible and sustainable! - Currently focussing on our internal team, collaboration, partnerships and improving our app and software
