I just finished the Master of Finance at Bond University. And, I have a Bachelor’s Degree and also double major in data science and finance. I found a great passion for data analytics, while I was doing the data science course at Bond.At Bond, we only learned R programme language. We had learned different models and techniques through different courses, like Neural Network, decision tree, regression, NLP, portfolio performance…etc. The last subject of Big Data major is to do a project with other classmates. So, three of us did the project with RACQ insurance company. What we did was to build a model to explore how RACQ and other insurers price the premiums of motor insurance. And, we also created the dashboard at the end to visualise our result and provide a summary of the findings. In my last semester of Bachelor’s Degree, I had an internship at Auto and General insurance company. I had completed a project by myself. The project was to create a GBM to analyse the customer behaviour. Both projects were built on R language. I had another internship with Bidfood Australia Ltd while I was doing my Master degree at Bond. I helped the management team to find the optimal price for their products by using some statistical theories.
