Key Responsibilities: • Employee Staff (7) – in charge of hiring, performance evaluations, work schedules, staff meetings, and training.• Optical – select eyewear, sell frame and lenses, measure pupil distance and segment height for glasses, place lab orders, plan and organize frame shows, check-in glasses when return from the lab, call patients when ready, dispense glasses to patients. • Oversee contact orders, dispensing contacts to patients, ordering contact lens care materials and solutions.• Inventory – business office supplies and cleaning supplies. • Patient and Insurance Records – reconciling insurance, billing, and collections (OfficeMate/ExamWriter)• Financial – oversee the balancing of daily and monthly ledgers (Excel/OfficeMate) • Other - Open and close office, oversee maintenance and repairs for the office
