Twenty years of progressive banking, regulatory and commercial lending experience. Relevant experience includes: 1) most recently, 15 months in short-term position with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a Loan Review Specialist utilizing an extensive knowledge of banking theory and practice, banking and commercial law, economics, credit analysis, loan documentation requirements, laws and regulations governing loan underwriting, best-in-class banking and financial institution practices and procedures, and loan credit analysis; and 2) prior to the FDIC, 17 years (12 years at the Vice President and Director levels) in both the commercial lending and credit administration areas of Comerica Bank, one of the top 30 commercial banks in the country. Lending background included both relationship and portfolio management in the Middle Market and Large Corporate Markets - in diverse industries, with significant experience in lending to large and complex companies with significant credit exposure and highly complex loan structures. Lending skills were further augmented by 6 years of combined experience in the specialty areas of Corporate Finance and Private Equity lending. Credit Administration position with Comerica included responsibility for areas of bank regulatory compliance, internal risk modeling and quantitative portfolio analytics.
