• Work with Business to analyze data and produces system data mappings. • Reverse engineer and document legacy software to discover ways to enhance or transition old technology to newer platforms.• Create UI using third party software configuration tool.• Write and maintain Groovy language scripts to create and enforce business and technical rules for the UI using the third party configuration tool.• Decode algorithms provided by the users to create complex insurance rating calculations and online quotes using the third party configuration tool.• Write queries to validate data integrity against SQL Server & Oracle databases using DML.• Use DDL to create and modify objects in SQL Server & Oracle databases.• Use and create stored procedures, materialized views and functions to manipulate data in SQL Server & Oracle databases.• Create and maintain user Profiles and roles in third party software.• Establish positive relationships with Business customers and provide recommendations to improve process efficiencies.• Translate business and user requirements into accurate system design requirements and technical specifications.• Participate in all phases of project life cycle from planning workshops to final implementation.• Manage defects and enhancement requests using SharePoint, SpiraTeam, and Squish, have the ability to analyze, develop, test and deploy these changes using company accepted Change Management Processes.• Work with Business to develop Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases and User Stories, and System Requirements Documents.• Currently use both Waterfall and Agile design processes for various projects.

• Design and develop applications with Oracle and SQL Server databases using VB.Net or VB6.0 to develop the user interfaces. • Provide data to users from Oracle and SQL Server databases via Crystal Reports or MS Excel spreadsheets.• Design and develop complex applications using MS Access as both the database and reporting tool.• Extensive use of complex T-SQL and PL\SQL to design and create tables, views, procedures, triggers, and functions to manipulate data to meet end user requirements.• Ensure version control through the use of MS Source Safe.• Use knowledge of databases and database tools to optimize queries and query performance using indexes and primary and foreign key joins. • Set up test and production operations workstations and configured test and production servers for Co-lo move from Richmond, VA to Austin, Texas. • Participate in weekly change control meetings to coordinate software releases.• Coordinate and set up Month End testing for all new lines of business or enhancements to systems.
