My main areas of focus included: updating the standard price for all inventory for two of the Distribution Centers in North America, completing KPI (Key Performance Indicator) Reports for all North America Distribution Centers, and managing the ledgers for four distribution centers that had been closed. Additional responsibilities included inventory analysis and management, month-end close and account reconciliations, support for SOX compliance and audits, assisting distribution centers with accounts payable questions, and any other ad hoc reports or analysis. In my previous role I was a skilled and hardworking Finance Manager, but due to the ongoing pandemic my previous employer was forced to lay off all employees. While this period was unplanned and unexpected, I put the time to good use and am ready to get back to the workforce.

As Plant Controller, job duties were overseeing all finance-related activities at the Maysville Distribution Center. I had to complete a budget annually, update a forecast monthly as variables changed, and complete month-end reports showing how the actuals compared to the budget and forecast. I approved all general ledger entries submitted for the DC and ensured that the month-end close was completed within three business days. I also reviewed and approved general ledger reconciliations that were completed each month. I helped support the review, approval, and analysis of accounts payable for the Distribution Center. Our accounts payable stayed current and any aged items were investigated and resolved immediately. I helped support SOX compliancy as well as supporting and submitting any documentation required for audits. I also managed the inventory team and the cycle count process to ensure that we remained compliant with company standards. The distribution center maintained an average accuracy rate of 99.5% for $40M of on-hand inventory.
