In this position I have been green belt trained and am currently working on my first cost savings project to reduce damaged product and therefore increase yield. I have held meetings for FMEA's and brainstormed for corrective actions. I've done a 5S event in our packaging department to sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain.

In this position I ordered around half of our 600 raw materials, and followed up with vendors to ensure they arrived just in time for our inventory reduction goals. We repeatedly reached our far exceeds days on hand goal. Quite often I supported the R&D group with additional raw materials for pilots and ensured we had those materials in addition to our normal safety stock levels. Semi-annually I reviewed our safety stocks and adjusted them where necessary. Each month I helped publish a list to our MUDA team of raw materials we had on hand but no longer required, and they were shipped to another plant when possible. As needed I helped the QA dept.file vendor complaints.
