I am licensed K-12 in in Fine Arts. I have substitute taught at Platte Canyon SD1, JeffcoSchools, and Denver Public Schools since 2009. I currently work at the Montessori Preschool in Conifer with kids 2 1/2-7. This year, I wanted to focus on teaching younger children with a goal to teach Elementary Art eventually. I love the excitement and enthusiasm that the little ones bring to the classroom. The majority of my time spent substituting was at Deer Creek Elementary and Fitzsimmons Middle School in Bailey, and at West Jefferson Middle School. I have also worked at Evergreen and Conifer HIgh Schools and many school in Jefferson County.I regularly volunteer at Deer Creek Elementary School in Bailey assisting teachers and trying to lighten their demanding loads. I love testing the children and working with them one-on-one. During the 2012-2013 school year, I started and after-school Art program. The classes were well-received and immediately had more students than the schedule could handle. This year, I plan on offering more classes for the students so that everyone can attend that wants to. I also volunteer at Stagedoor Theatre and The Venue Theater in Conifer by painting sets, sewing costumes, and whatever the theatres need.
