Vitalant provides blood and special services to patients in about 900 hospitals across the U.S. – millions of people depend on blood donations from our generous volunteer donors.Responsibilities include oversight and leadership of the following functions:• Financial Planning & Analysis (15 Team Members) – Developed and provide annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, delivered a long rang plan that is aligned with the overall strategic plan of the organization, created costing and ROI models, provide analytical support which identifies trends, risks, and opportunities for the organization• Business Intelligence, Reporting & Analytics (8 Team Members) – Source of Truth for all Enterprise Operational Reporting & KPIs, managed through PowerBI, providing transparency, and driving accountability; implementing ML/AI to develop predictive forecasts and indicators to improve operations and accuracy of financial forecasts.• Financial Systems (1 Team Member) – Administers and creates all financial reporting, budgets, forecasts, in our Financial Planning Platform• Treasury – Established a treasury function to enhance cash management and continued enhancing investment optimization. Developed Cashflow forecasts, metrics and analysis to support project planning and cash management; Maintain relationships with our banking and Investment advisors; Managed RFP process for Investment banking services; perform all debt covenant reporting requirements and manage revolving credit agreements.• Finance & Investment Committee and Board of Trustee Reporting

Manage and direct the accounting and financial reporting functions for Hyperion Solutions Corporation, a global software company, with total assets of $570 Million and annual revenues of over $500 Million.  Directed the domestic general ledger, accounts payable and global financial reporting functions. Accountable for the month-end close process, preparation of monthly financial statement packages, review and analysis of monthly results, preparation of SEC quarterly and annual filings, coordination of quarterly reviews and annual audit.  Developed and implemented consistent global accounting policies and process improvements which resulted in significant improvement in the efficiency of the accounting and consolidation operations, consistent and accurate financial reporting and a reduced monthly close cycle.  Served as lead resource to analyze and implement new technical accounting rules and regulations.

Held responsibility for all phases of audit engagement, including budgeting, consultation on technical accounting matters, client report preparation, SEC filings and presentation of financial audits to audit committees and board of directors.
