I am a PhD Candidate at the University of Glasgow. I completed a BSc (Hons) in Neuropsychology and an MRes in Psychology at the University of Central Lancashire. My research interests are primarily in the philosophy of illusions, virtual reality, visual perception and neurodiversity. I have a genuine interest and enthusiasm for visual perception and neuroaesthetics research. I currently have seven research papers published, and one more in the process of publication. The majority of my research projects have been broadly related to cognitive psychology and focused on topics such as optimal performance states during concentration, learning, exergaming, and flow-feeling during the aesthetic appreciation of street artworks. I measured psychophysiological states through Electroencephalogram (EEG) and subjective reports. Throughout all of my research projects, I have demonstrated an immense amount of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. These experiences have helped me develop and utilize my problem-solving, critical thinking, scientific research methods, writing-up, technical, practical, and theoretical knowledge effectively. I have also developed excellent spoken and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.My PhD project will explore the perceptual experiences and immersive states of neurodivergent individuals when perceiving visual illusions within virtual environments. In the future, I hope to become a psychology researcher.
