I lead a top preforming team of procurement professionals, at one of the largest paper manufacturing sites in North America. My team, in partnership with our corporate leaders, manufacturing partners, and deliberate improvement project teams, execute business initiatives and optimize processes driving value and delivering the lowest total cost of ownership to our customers.

As the Purchasing and Stores Operations Manager in a two machine printing paper mill, I executed strategic processes to deliver $1.1 million in annual cost savings. My team executed two major capital projects on-time and within budget. I hired, trained and mentored several new buyers. Developing talent for promotion has been one of my strengths during this assignment.

I lead and execute Global Sourcing strategies in support of operations and maintenance requirements at a two machine integrated container board mill. My responsibilities include developing and directing a team of buyers. As the Procurement Operations Manager, I engage with manufacturing operation and corporate teams to drive process improvements and reduce total cost of ownership. I ensure that purchasing and MRO storeroom activities are in compliance with financial and global sourcing policies and corporate audit requirement. I track and report supplier performance, escalating supplier issues as appropriate. My responsibilities also include risk management processes pertaining to contractors and suppliers. Safety leadership through the modeling of safe behaviors, and employee adherence to all safety requirements and expectations, is a part of my everyday activity.

Supervised, directed and developed MRO inventory services department in support of mill operations and maintenance. Developed direct reports to provide maximum customer service and support. Responsible for replenishment procurement, equipment repair program, inventory maintenance practices and compliance, disposal of scrap/surplus equipment and adherence to corporate sourcing and internal controls policies.

Managed $12m MRO inventory and replenishment execution with consideration to quality, reliability and urgency of need delivering highest KPI performance in the division. Provided leadership, direction, and training to bargaining unit employees in order to safely and efficiently support plant operation. Identified and implemented initiatives for optimizing inventory value. Ensured activities were in compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and audit requirements. Served on regional cross-functional teams to improve supply management processes, inventories, and total cost of ownership.

Led and executed sourcing and procurement operations for a single machine recycled wallboard paper manufacturing company in Lawton, Oklahoma.
