My husband and I are currently the Directors for the Minnesota Division of Fisher's of Men.The Fishers of Men National Tournament Trail is a nonprofit, nondenominational ministry whose mission is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ to fishermen and their families through competitive and professionally run fishing tournaments.We, at Fishers of Men, believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God. We believe that he came and died on a cross for the remission of our sins and rose again on the third day. And that anyone who believes in Him and accepts Him as their personal savior, can have eternal life in Heaven as well as a life more abundant while here in this life.

My passion is helping families navigate the challenges that come with a student who has reading disabilities. I have an extensive background with child development and teaching my own two children with dyslexia and learning disabilities and have traveled the course of IEP’s, homeschooling and transitioning to college. The best tool to teach children with reading disabilities is the Orton-Gillingham approach. That is why I am a trained Orton-Gillingham tutor. This is an instructional approach intended primarily for use with students who have difficulty with reading, spelling, and writing. My experience is combined with my dedication to empower learning disabled students to achieve their full potential for academic success. Additional areas of interest include, enabling parents to advocate for their students in educational settings and facilitating the student’s transition from high-school to college. I would love to share my experiences in this area and assist you in your journey.
