With over 15 years of experience in informatics research, I am passionate about increasing patient engagement and containing the cost of healthcare with the effective use of technology. As the Director of Health Services and Informatics Research at Parkview Health, I lead an interdisciplinary team that focuses on developing and evaluating innovative solutions for health and wellness. I am driven by the mission of empowering individuals to improve their quality of life.In my current role, I have secured approximately $4 million in grant funding over the past 9 years, and won several awards for our work, including the American Hospital Association Innovation Award and the Best Article honor from the International Medical Informatics Association. I have also been involved in teaching and mentoring students and faculty at Indiana University School of Informatics, where I serve as an adjunct faculty and a research collaborator. I have strong skills in qualitative research methods, mobile app development, and human-computer interaction, and have published several papers in prestigious journals. I am always eager to learn new things and collaborate with other experts in the field.
