I have had the privilege of teaching 2nd-8th grade students for 17 years as a classroom teacher including 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, Gifted, and junior high students. I repeatedly had the top district test scores in 4th-6th grade state and district testing.Responsibilities included being team lead, lesson plan and delivery, writing common assessments, analyzing data, and engagement.

Reading coaches worked directly with the Literacy Coordinator in the district to implement best practice among the Kindergarten to third grade teachers. The district provided best practice trainings and we were to observe, co-teach, co-plan and work with teachers.We also met with the most intensive students that needed intervention on phonics, phonemic awareness, or fluency.
