About Tammy Beard

I have years of experience in many different facets of IT and customer facing roles over the years. Much of my career has been in Infrastructure until the last few years, which have been expanded to Governance, Risk, and Compliance. I am well versed in infrastructure framework, IT and business systems, applications, as well as audit compliance and controls. My career began in as a soldier of the United States Army National Guard. I joined the military in during the first Gulf War. I spent 6 years in the Armed Forces and was proud to serve my country as my father and both maternal as well as paternal Grandfathers before me. I transitioned into the civilian industry in March of 1997 when I began working at Pfizer Pharmaceutical as and IT Tech and Trainer. I have worked for companies that specialized globally with international clients and had unique multi-cultural requirements. Highlights of my career include managing a remote team of 19 staff across the country. Maintaining a team environment and empowering growth is a skill in which I take pride and ownership. I was also tasked with implementing a Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tool, RPX Recovery Planner for the storage and use of Disaster documentation such as Application Recovery Plan's and Business Impact Analysis forms. My time as DR Manager included conducting the most successful audited DR test on company record, coming in ahead of schedule by over 8 hours and including a complete end to end integration test. Another project accomplishment was overhauling our Gsuite - GMAIL licensing to cut 478 accounts with a company cost savings of over 150,000.00 dollars a year. Implementing standard of account review quarterly and a process to request the appropriate account license going forward. One of my favorite moments over my career occurred while I was in a volunteer teaching capacity. I have taught computer classes to children and adults through the Urban League of Greater Hartford. I enjoy working with the youth, as well as the community. In closing, I am highly motivated and well organized. I am capable of juggling multiple disciplines. I am looking to effect change and make an impact in a dynamic company. I am intrinsically motivated, and I want to be able to provide value using my vast experience.
