Ad hoc childcare

Long term active volunteer for the North East England regional group since May 2022, supporting refugees and asylum seekers. - Area Lead for the North East group since October 2024- Responsibilities include: local group coordination; sourcing, organising and delivering donations; befriending; helping with access to public services; English lessons; event planning and management, activity coordination; inbox and social media mangement; administration; public speaking; referrals to partner organisations. - Hotel Lead for South Tyneside since June 2023- Chair of the organising committee for a joint fundraiser with Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) in October 2023 (link below)3 weeks spent in Calais and Dunkirk - 2 in March 2022, 1 in July/August 2022.

Student-led placement based dissertation as part of my MSc Global Environment, Politics and Society at the University of Edinburgh.Dissertation title: 'Identifying and exploring issues of resource justice in case studies of three Scottish communities affected by transition mineral mining plans'Secondary output: short report to be published in Autumn 2024

I ran the Instagram and Facebook pages for the successful campaign 'Edinburgh on Ecosia'. The University of Edinburgh made the switch and installed Ecosia as their default search engine on 03/09/21. Guest speaker at a student event on environmental advocacy.As a team, we won the UoE Social Responsibility and Sustainability 'Changemakers' Award'
