As a tax & compliance manager, I assumed responsibility for filing tax returns and processing e-verify and background check requests. I generated employee changes and work completion audits reports and performed benefits reconciliations. I prepared/reviewed federal, state and local income tax compliance. I completed tax registrations including the power of attorneys and responded to tax notices. I established relationships with clients to process payroll more efficiently and helped resolve their issues. I resolved payroll discrepancies and maintaining payroll operations confidentiality.

As a tax and compliance manager, I serve as a tax and compliance manager for Chorus HR Group – providing the best option for customer service driven HR solutions including benefits administration, payroll, payroll and tax compliance, and worker’s compensations. I process bi-monthly, monthly, quarterly, annually, and multi-state payroll and tax returns. I monitor and process benefits, garnishments, and any employee changes. I audit payroll each pay cycle and reconcile data to ensure accuracy. I provide reports as needed to management as well as update client data on EFTPS, MIWAM and MTO websites. I implement new payroll policies, procedures, and workflow changes and internal controls to assure efficient and effective results in compliance with company policies and federal and state laws and regulations. I analyze, reconcile, and maintain assigned general ledger payroll clearing accounts. I provide training/assistance to employees on the new HRIS.

As a new client service specialist I assumed responsibility for entering all new client data into the HRIS system. I was also responsible for processing payrolls and reviewing quarterly tax returns.
