• Performed engineering calculation review for pressure vessels, heat exchangers and air manifolds using Excel and PV Elite, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards. This involved reviewing technical specifications, selecting materials and thickness, and determining safety margins• Conducted Finite Element Analysis (FEA) in Abaqus, where I was responsible for setting up models, running simulations, and interpreting the results to assess fatigue life according to AS1210, and wind and seismic loadings according to AS1170.2-4.• Reviewed and annotated technical drawings from vendors and suppliers, identifying discrepancies or potential improvements. • Reviewed and research existing and emerging technologies for ore passes and transfer chutes in mining, where I reviewed technical papers and reports and interviewed industry experts to gather data on operational challenges in operating long ore pases• Designed and built and experimental rig for testing long ore pass concepts. This involved drafting designs in SolidWorks, selecting materials, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing the assembly to ensure the rig the required specifications.• Performed Discrete Element Method (DEM) of non-spherical particles to simulate material flow in ore passes.• Performed Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis in ANSYS Fluent for a carbon dioxide capture box, where I was responsible for setting up the simulation, selecting appropriate models, and analysing the heat transfer data to optimise the design for efficiency.• Co-authored two technical papers summarising research findings, methodologies, and recommendations for future ore pass design. • Coordinated procurement and construction activities by liaising with suppliers, ensuring that materials and components were delivered on time and met the quality standards. I also worked with CNC machinists to oversee the fabrication of parts.
