Tan Bing is a Senior Lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic at Temasek Polytechnic. Colleagues describe them as "I was Ms Tan's student for a Java elementary course at Temasek polytechnic. She is a very dedicated educator, she always ensure that she get those tough topics simplified to her student. She is also very encouraging in getting her students to advance further. She was one of the few lecturers who encouraged me to go for the Sun Certified Java Programmer certification. Although, I was not her student for the more advanced Java courses, she selflessly provided me with notes so that I can learn more about the Java language."
