I have involved in one of the major events back in my university - Neon Rave & Run. I am holding a position in logistic team which responsible in sourcing items needed for the event. List of items needed for the event is long and we are responsible for particular items like t-shirt (to distribute to the contestants), balloons (for decoration purpose), tents, chairs and tables (which made ready for guests). I also work together with sponsorship department and we successfully secured few sponsors which are Gaharu Valley, Nestle and Purple Cane. What I have learnt from event management, I could actually apply on my current internship. Communication skills do play an important role in my current working industry where I need to communicate with certain medias. Knowing how to communicate does help a lot in my current position because I would need to communicate with customers about the event info too. Furthermore, I have learnt how to handle unforeseen incident which will always happen at the live event. This is important because we need to come out a solution in a short given time and it needs critical thinking. Among all of the lessons, I also able to handle simple administrative tasks which makes the job process work smoothly.
