I believe there is still much to be done for our senior adults in the eldercare sector in Singapore, especially with the emerging silver tsunami. Currently, there are many service gaps which have yet to be addressed by service providers and stakeholders.I believe my training obtained from Master of Gerontology course has equipped me to be able to address some of these service gaps in time to come, and be the change agent to bring our eldercare sector to a greater height.I believe there are many hidden potential in each senior adults which they have yet to discover. I would like to be instrumental to beef up the eldercare sector, so as to help our seniors to discover their hidden talents, so that they could live life to the fullest, able to age in place and enjoy every bit of their golden years in life. I believe I can be that catalyst to help our senior adults step into a brighter future and leading fulfilling life. I believe my 17 years experience in pioneering a Social Day Centre for the Elderly, and seeing it flourishing from its birthing stage, and my 7 years in pioneering an enrichment programme for persons with dementia and experience in providing consultancy work to service providers will be an asset to my future job pursue; as I desire to bring the Eldercare to soar onto greater heights.
