At the time of my departure, I was the youngest Deputy Superintendent in the Singapore Police Force.Staff Officer at the Research, Planning and Organisational Development Division in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).CID is the premier investigation agency and staff authority for criminal investigation matters within the Singapore Police Force. I worked on legislative amendments, long-term policy objectives, and frameworks; drafted policy for and provided policy guidance to all frontline investigation units; and developed new capabilities to improve the quality of investigation.

I investigated crimes committed within the boundaries of Central Division, covering Marina Bay, the Central Business District, Bukit Merah, Little India, and other areas of interest. Recognised as Best General Investigation Officer in Central Division multiple times; my team was recognised as Best General Investigation Squad in Central Division for six consecutive quarters.

Seconded to SPF's dedicated team for Budget and Committee of Supply 2022, drafting and providing SPF's inputs and responses to Budget cuts and Parliamentary Questions from Members of Parliament, media queries, and other associated matters.

I was one of three editors for The Birthday Book 2021, the sixth edition of The Birthday Book.The Birthday Book is an annual collection of essays and stories examining emerging challenges and opportunities for Singapore. The number of essays each year matches Singapore's age - 51 in 2016, 52 in 2017, and so on. Praising the inaugural Book on Facebook, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong said, “I am proud of the young people who organised this, and wrote the essays. Perhaps that is the next big thing for Singapore – getting many more people involved in thinking about our country and what it can become, and then working together to make it happen!”Editing the Book was a year-long process. As editor, I identified and approached potential contributors for the Book, edited their pieces, and ensured the entire Book was ready for publishing. Apart from managing the pieces themselves, I was also involved in the design, marketing, and publishing of the Book.The Birthday Book 2021 launched in August, 2021, and sold out its print run (~1,110 books) within a week.I was also an editor for The Birthday Book 2022: (Re)Start.

Each year, The Birthday Collective publishes The Birthday Book, a collection of essays and stories examining emerging challenges and opportunities for Singapore. The number of essays each year matches Singapore's age - 51 in 2016, 52 in 2017, and so on. The Birthday Collective also organises seminars, produces videos, and hosts events built around the core theme of being a "Brain, Heart and Hand Trust" for Singapore's future.Apart from being the editor for The Birthday Book 2021, I help manage the Collective's external partnerships and internal governance re: KPI and expenditure tracking.I also co-write The Birthday Workbook, which leverages The Birthday Book to promote critical thinking skills, close reading, and personal reflection amongst students. The Anti-Scam Centre is the command centre for tackling scam crimes in Singapore. It was established in June 2019 to tackle rising scam trends and formally opened in October 2019. As part of the initial operations team, I wrote the Operations Manual and helped define the Centre's operating procedures, establish relationships with key partners like banks, telecommunications companies, and online marketplaces, and manage the transition to full operational status. Along with the team, I received the Commercial Affairs Department Director's Award and a Commendation from the Commissioner of Police for work on establishing the Anti-Scam Centre.
