The Institution of Civil Engineers Universiti Malaya Student Chapter (ICEUMSC) stands as a prominent beacon of civil engineering within Universiti Malaya, and I am truly honored to have contributed to its impactful initiatives. My journey began as a General Affairs Department Member, where I honed my problem-solving and communication skills by supporting my departmental leader in orchestrating logistical arrangements and ensuring the seamless flow of ICEUMSC’s dynamic events. Elevating my role to Secretary marked a progressive chapter, as I embraced greater responsibilities together with my team—managing documentation, and occasionally facilitating smooth communication between the chapter and the faculty’s office. These experiences have profoundly enriched my leadership acumen and teamwork capabilities, paving the way for both personal and professional growth.

Being a sales promoter of Oversea (海外天) mooncakes was in no way an easy task. Grasping the various types of mooncakes and sales techniques-all in a swift and humble manner, in a harsh yet realistic sales environment was indeed challenging. However, it proved to be fruitful throughout my course of work as not only my communication skills improved, but it also made me an all-round more resilient individual.

Designed several festive and informative posters related to UMSU Engine, serving for the benefit and welfare of all engineering students.

Involved in several graphical design works including bunting, nametag designs and technical handling during the alumni reunion event in Kolej Kediaman Tuanku Bahiyah (KKTB).

Alongside with my other Head of Department of the Multimedia & Technical Department, it was a golden opportunity for us to gain designing/technical experience of various kinds of media and graphics. Being a annually held case study competition which focuses on innovation, Malaya Makerthon 2024 emphasizes on the theme of ocean conservation and preservation. Our work included coming up with the event logo, informative posters, T-shirt designs, Merchandise designs, Certificate handling, Banner and Bunting designing, Photography and Video Editing. It was truly a platform for me to learn and grow as the tasks required me to explore items ranging from new editing templates, effects, all the way to actual printing processes of banners and buntings. Overall, this experience pushed my creativity and technical expertise to new heights, bridging innovation with practical media production.

As Vice Secretary of UMCvEC 2024, I played my part in driving its success by working hand-in-hand with the event secretary by managing documentations throughout the event. Simultaneously, as the person-in-charge of the Multimedia and Publicity Department allowed me to gain knowledge about graphic design through assisting the department's members. Overall, UMCvEC 2024 was a benchmark of the power of innovation, teamwork, and creativity—an inspiring experience that fuels my passion for advancing civil engineering excellence.

As a Chinese class mentor under the Persatuan Bahasa Cina Universiti Malaya (PBCUM), I had the unique opportunity to teach Mandarin to students from diverse racial backgrounds. This role allowed the fostering of cultural understanding as well as bridging communities. Apart from the weekly lessons, I implemented interactive quizzes that helped students grasp the language while making the experience enjoyable. In a nutshell, being part of this initiative has been both a privilege and a chance to contribute meaningfully to inclusivity and mutual respect through language.

Serving as a Pemudahcara Mahasiswa Sentral (Central Student Facilitator) for Universiti Malaya’s Week of Welcome (UM-WOW) 2023/2024 was an enriching experience that began with a fruitful 3-day camp at PLKN Ulu Kenas, Perak. It was soon followed by an intensive 1.5-month preparation, where all the student facilitators gear up for the upcoming Week-Of-Welcome session 2023/2024, where all new incoming students would get to know better about Universiti Malaya.Throughout the preparation session or 'Perkampungan', I was engaged as a member of the Multimedia and Technical Department. In there, our department was mainly in charge of the graphic designs, video editing, as well as all other A/V systems related to UM-WOW. Here, I contributed to the event’s success by crafting engaging visuals through softwares such as Adobe Photoshop, managing technical setups, and ensuring seamless multimedia support. This journey honed my leadership, teamwork, and technical skills while fostering a welcoming environment for incoming students.Apart from our work routine, we also had an opportunity to know student facilitators from other colleges, all of which being individuals with impressive backgrounds, both academic-wise and co-curricular-wise. Through team bonding activities such as volleyball, gathering nights, all these activities fostered our teamwork and friendship even further.This journey would not have reached its climax had it not been the UM-WOW. Throughout that unforgettable week, all of us have been stationed at various locations, including the prestigious Dewan Tunku Canselor and the UM Arena for orientation programs, where our crowd-control and leadership skills are tested and honed to its finest. Overall, this unforgettable experience as a Central Student Facilitator was a testament to the power of teamwork and dedication in creating a welcoming and vibrant community—a journey that will forever inspire me to embrace challenges and lead with purpose.

Designed multiple posters as well as assisted in technical work such as public audio/lighting system in the community branch's events. Also joined the other committee members in volunteering in community service activities, such as the homeless as well as animal charity.
