Yan Lin believes that having a dedicated, safe and consistent practice for self-inquiry is integral to one’s emotional and psychological health and development. In practice, she seeks to provide a safe, collaborative and respectful space with her patients to support their personal inquiry. Yan Lin adopts a person-centred and integrative therapy approach with the intentions of supporting her patients’ developing a deeper understanding of their inner life, making sense of their experiences and making empowering choices for their own growth. She is also able to work with her patients’ dreams during their therapy journey.Along the years, Yan Lin has received training and supervision for selected behavioural therapies and approaches (e.g., Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness-based practices, etc), specialized training working with children and adolescents diagnosed ASD and parents. She is also an accredited facilitator of the Circle of Security parenting (COSP™) that helps caregivers connect with the children in their lives. Her ongoing supervision with a Jungian analyst informs her current orientation towards symptoms, meaning making and psychological growth.Yan Lin completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and has been in practice since 2014. She is registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologists and is a full member of the Singapore Psychological Society. Her decade of work experience in the field of public mental health consists of supporting children and adolescents diagnosed with neurodevelopmental conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attentional Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), their caregivers, as well as adults diagnosed with anxiety and depressive disorders.
