👋 Hi, I’m Zhan Tiam. I’m a Singaporean student entrepreneur. 🇸🇬📢 As the founder and editor at SEAmplified, I’m on a mission to give every youth in Southeast Asia a voice and highlight the commonalities of our lived experience.🌏 My passion for youths and Southeast Asia (SEA) began in 2021 when I joined The Young SEAkers to deliver SEA-related educational programs to schools across Singapore. During my three years there, I was recognized as the top trainer and led curriculum development and market expansion efforts as head of the educational product team.🇮🇩 In 2023, I went for a three-month internship in Jakarta, Indonesia. I realized that while a lot has been talked about the growing economy and tech scene of SEA, youths still lack an understanding of their regional peers and the diverse culture of our region.With that, I started SEAmplified in 2024 to amplify the voices of SEA’s youth, explore the trends that will shape their future, and unravel the region’s rich cultural diversity. We want to tell stories that uncover the common aspirations of SEA’s youths, as well as the rich culture and opportunities that SEA can offer through our media content and future educational programs. 🏫 Beyond SEAmplified, I’m currently a Political Science & Chinese Studies student at NUS, and I write commentaries on youth and societal issues in English and Chinese.
