I'm interested in policy, synthetic biology, and sustainable technologies both on Mars and on Earth. My passions revolve around the development of new technologies to combat climate change, specifically in regard to plastic-digesting bacteria and green energy on earth and in space. Having shadowed multiple labs and learning key skills such as leading group meetings and using mass spectrometers, I hope to advance the field of sustainability as well. Additionally, I write articles dedicated to space and climate tech on Medium and lobby politicians to support climate education. I have won competitions such as the International Mars Mission Design Competition as well as placed internationally in Climate Science Olympiad and Nationally in the USA Biology Olympiad. Additionally, I am involved in the school community as I serve as president of Science NHS and co-founded the Biology Club. I'm amazed by the potential for Mars settlement as well. In my free time I enjoy table tennis, cricket, soccer, and the clarinet. I believe collaboration is the key to saving our planet and hope to do so by integrating climate literacy and new sustainable technologies with public policy.
