I got my BBA and MBA from AMC Bangalore, under Newport University. I have worked with several reputable companies, primarily in the textile industry, for the past 23 years. I worked as the Head of Marketing at Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Limited and as the Marketing Director at Unilliance Textiles Limited. In 2007, I founded Trends Sourcing Limited, a home textile sourcing company, and served as the Managing Director for 16 years. In between, from 2011 to 2016, I worked as the CEO of Unilliance Group, a company specializing in the home textile industry and manufacturing various home goods and furniture.Throughout my career, I have worked with globally renowned retail chains like IKEA, Walmart, Tesco, Carrefour, Target, and others. I have also served a wide range of importers worldwide, including Maurice Phillip, Vanguard, Springs Canada, Sandown & Bourne, and Richloom.I have traveled extensively round the globe (i.e. North America, United Kingdom, Europe, Nordic and Scandinavian countries, the Middle East, and Asia). Attended 'Heimtextil', the world's largest home textile exposition in Frankfurt, Germany (20 years in a row, 12 years as an Exhibitor, the rest as a buyer), and the Canton Fair in China.I am fluent in English and Hindi, in addition to my native language Bengali.Over the past few years, I have been extensively trained in social, ethical and working environment compliance, including Lead Auditor of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, BRC Global Standard, BSCI, ETI, and COC audits for renowned entities like IKEA, Tesco, H&M, Lidl, and ASDA. These trainings were conducted in various locations, including Germany, Sweden, Belgium, UK etc.Additionally, I have gained hands-on training in retail stores, automated warehousing, and supply chain systems. I am well-versed in various quality systems and audits, such as OEKOTEX 100, GOATS and BCI.In addition to my textile trade knowledge, I have also acquired a Professional Diploma in Windows, UNIX, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. Have worked on software and tool development, network and server management based on specific company requirement.
