I served as the Sr. Member Development Executive for the Georgia Restaurant Association. The GRA is the voice of Georgia’s restaurants in advocacy, education, and awareness. The GRA lobbies on behalf of Georgia’s 18,000 restaurants. The GRA represents the industry at the federal, state, and local level to fight onerous legislation from materializing into law, as well as influence new legislation that is of our member’s best interest. While serving in this mission-based sales role, I strived to represent the core values and mission of GA’s food lobby to members, while consistently enrolling new members, and ensuring the satisfaction of current members. Much of my efforts were put forth to explain the importance of advocacy to restaurant owners, and that by joining they helped create a more conducive environment for restaurants to do business in Georgia.
