My specialties and work experience span the following areas: international rural social change and development, particularly the political economy and geography of Sub-Saharan Africa; civil society and comparative social development; rural community development with emphasis on gender equality, civic engagement, empowerment and participation in Sub-Saharan Africa; and utilizing quantitative, qualitative, social network and spatial analysis techniques.
