Ankit is the Product Lead for Image & Video Search at Google. Earlier at Google, Ankit led Product teams for commercial search experiences, search growth, and UGC content experiences on Search. Before Google, Ankit was at Uber where he led Product teams working on Maps and Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) that powered key services & experiences for all lines of businesses (Rides, Eats, Bikes & Scooters, Freight, Autonomous vehicles, etc.) Earlier, Ankit was the founding PM on the Machine-Learned Maps team in Bing Maps at Microsoft, and his team was acquired by Uber after a successful pilot. Before the acquisition, at Microsoft, Ankit also led several other consumer and enterprise product feature teams on Bing Apps, multi-party video conferencing, VoIP & remote call control in multiple versions of Lync & Office Communicator (later Skype for Business, now Teams), and Charting in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Ankit grew up in India and completed high school in Tokyo. During undergrad, he did a dual major in CE and CS at LSU, where he was a university medalist. Ankit subsequently received his MBA from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
