Driven by a deep-rooted sense of duty inherited from his roots in the Army, Tanesh Singh Dod’s commitment to service expands beyond the confines of his country to encompass a broader responsibility towards the planet. He pursued an honours course in Zoology from Hindu College, Delhi University, where he was captivated by the realms of Biodiversity, Sustainability, and the Environment.Subsequently, he was offered a position at Egon Zehnder, a prominent multinational consultancy, in their Energy vertical. This opportunity provided him with an in-depth understanding of global affairs and developments in renewable energy, unveiling the practical innovations that were driving the world towards sustainability. It also offered invaluable insights into organizational dynamics, culture-building, and the art of making things happen.After 2 years in the corporate world, during the pandemic, Tanesh co-founded Biome Industria Pvt. Ltd., in line with his aim to work on a sustainability-focused venture. After meticulous business planning and deliberation, and with the pandemic restrictions easing, the founders ventured into the rural areas of Haryana and Punjab to set up the first working entity for converting biomass into a usable Coal alternative and thereafter, in the hinterlands of Maharashtra. His vision is to further explore innovative ways to make a sustainable impact in the energy space and thereby, serve the motherland and planet Earth.
