Hi, I'm Marco, a 2nd-year PhD student in Philosophy at the University of Waterloo, focusing on bioethics, moral psychology, and epistemology. I'm currently interning in the Ethics Quality Improvement Lab at William Osler Health Systems, where I'm developing my clinical decision-making skills by working with clinical ethicists, supporting health units, and conducting research for the PoET project, which helps align practices in Ontario long-term care homes with the Health Care Consent Act.Previously, I was a research ethics assistant at Toronto Metropolitan University, ensuring compliance with the Tri-Council Policy Statement, creating resources for researchers, and helping establish a new health sciences research ethics board for TMU's medical school. After my PhD, I will become a clinical ethicist.
