Yuqing is a Roboticist with deep LLMs experiences. He is currently a Principal Scientist at IDEA (International Digital Economy Academy) leading science and engineering teams working on Lower Airspace Systems --- including but not limited to the following topics: distributed sensor networks, CNS+X, large scale multi-path and trajectory planning, large scale multi-vehicle coordination mechanism, large scale airspace simulation, deep learning for 3D environment models, planning, control and airspace in general, and etc.Previously Yuqing was a Senior Director at XPeng Motors (小鹏汽车) working on consumer robotic systems. Before that, he was a Senior Research Scientist at Alexa AI. Before Alexa AI, Yuqing was a research scientist at Facebook AI working on LLMs with applicaitons in multilingual and multi-modality machine translation. Before Facebook, he was a member of the Microsoft CNTK team working on general deep learning topics. Back to the academic time, Yuqing was at the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University first in 2012 as a postdoctoral fellow and later in 2015 as a project scientist. He has published more than 50 technical papers in Artificial Intelligence.Yuqing has been working on a broad range of AI topics with experiences and publication records across deep learning, NLP, multi-modality, unsuperivsed pretraining, self-learning; symblic AI paradigms, graphical models, hybrid symoblic and probabilistic models; robotics, human-robot interaction; probabilistic action planning, dialogues; multi-agent systems, trust modelling, and so on. He serves in the program committees of a few prestigious AI conferences --- AAAI, EJCAI, ECAI, AAMAS, NEURIPS, ICLR, PRIMA, COMMA (Computational Model of Arguments), and other international conferences on various AI topics, such as trust and privacy.  His long-term career goal is towards the integration of human knowledge (broadly defined, in texts and/or structural representation) and data-driven machine learning to achieve cognitive capability of AI systems.
