I had the opportunity to be part of a research project where I and 3 other colleagues questioned the need and effectiveness of animal testing. We encountered sophisticated methods of testing; including in vitro tests, and using computer-modelling techniques, such as in silico and in chemico studies. Finally, we presented our findings to a scientific audience.In addition to the project, I attended a broad range of lectures and workshops relating to computer science, astronomy and psychology amongst others.
