I have more than 30 years of experience in neighborhood level outreach, communications and project-related activism. Since 1994, I've been working on affordable housing and community-based economic development projects that have had a deep and lasting impact on Washington, DC.Working variously with local government, community-development nonprofits and socially responsible for profit entities, I’ve had the pleasure of helping development projects come to fruition throughout the District of Columbia. In the process I have developed excellent writing and editing skills; become a comfortable, dynamic public speaker; meeting facilitator; and enjoyed working in almost all of the neighborhoods of my hometown.Specialties: Negotiations, facilitation, excellent written and oral communication skills.

At DCCH I shaped this program and connected community residents to their housing, economic development and employment work, developing several programming initiatives to do so. Most significantly, I directed all of the neighborhood engagement around the development of the six acres of land that now form the core of 14th Street’s redeveloped corridor. I planned and implemented the strategy to win and demonstrate core neighborhood support for the DC-USA team (the District's only Target store), and the Horning Brother’s mixed use plan at Tivoli (the Giant grocery store site).
