Youth Action Alliance supports the personal and social development of young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience, learn new skills in the present, and promote their ambitions for the future.Responsible for:- leading the charity whilst building and maintaining excellent working relationships with key stakeholders, role modelling the organisation’s values both internally and externally.- creating a culture where best practice, good governance, relationships and development of staff and volunteers flourish.- developing and implementing a strategic plan and associated strategies, ensuring alignment with the short, medium and long-term organisational objectives

- Lead on the development of Youth Arts and Accreditation initiatives including Art Awards, AQA’s and Youth Achievement by delivering various programmes in schools and youth centers.- Engaged young people in a variety of creative and cultural art opportunities; such as photography, music, creative drawing and dance.- Worked with targeted and hard to reach, vulnerable children and young people in order to ensure they have full access to arts based and accredited programmes. - Supported young people to access further education and training through developing links with training providers, businesses and scholarships from external organisations.- Lead on the development and delivery of celebration events that showcase young people’s achievement by organising two of the largest music and dance events for young people to showcase their talents in performing arts.- Managed resources effectively, record keeping, project and budget management.- Supported voluntary and community groups to understand the value of using arts and accreditation to develop young people.- Proactively promoted this area of work through print and digital promotions.

- Established and managed a range of innovative projects including Money Smart, The Gun, Gang and Knife Programme, Peer 2 Peer Sexual Health Programme, a girls’ leadership programme and an inter-generational project in NHHT communities- Established, managed and facilitated a monthly youth forum for 12 - 18 year olds. - Involved young people in the creation and production of a Youth Engagement Team brochure which was positively received by partners and funders.- Led and managed teams of up to 10 facilitators to deliver programmes across London.- Raised funds of £37K over a 6 month period by engaging with private companies and seeking multi-agency partnerships.- Maintained strong relationships and networks with local community partners within both the public and private sector.

Managed accounts and enquiries for 1,100 properties, acting as a single point of contact for tenants.Over a period of 2 years I reduced the number of accounts in arrears from 1,200 to 400 and became proficient in the use of IT systems such as SX3 and CRM.
