I have worked with organizations, researchers, and postgraduate students regarding the design and development of their research studies and projects. My main tasks : -Provided my expertise in research, innovation, and project management to internal and external stakeholders.-Edited and supervised scientific articles for their publication-Prepared applications for grants for scientific work-Contributed to the design and implementation of projects and new research.-Designed and performed the statistical analysis of several research studies and projects-Developed and review educational and promotional materials for patients and healthcare professionals.Currently, I am still open to collaborations as a consultant.

Worked on multiple (research & educational) projects, designed & implemented the action plans for the HUS´ research and innovation strategies, and engaged with internal & external stakeholders. Developed important working collaborations at the local & regional level with leading scientific researchers and clinicians, oversaw all the aspects of our clinical research studies including methodology, regulatory, and legal frameworks. Performed statistical data analysis for several studies, correlated results with clinical outcomes, and communicate key results to a wide range of stakeholders and target audiences. • Designed and implemented the action plans for our working groups focused on medical research, and engaged with internal and external stakeholders to develop local and regional strategies. • Initiated, set up, and followed three Independent Ethics Committee (Research, Hospital Review Board & COFEPRIS Mx). Selected members, liaised with regional and national regulatory authorities, and managed cross-functional collaborations to comply with the requested documentation and regulations. • Used required clinical trial management to design and supervise clinical studies according to Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). • Ensured that all clinical trials and studies comply with the regulatory and legal framework • Supervised and trained 33 medical residents and 30 medical students (Scientific Journal Club, Evidence-based medicine in practice, evidence essentials, and basic biostatistics). • Performed statistical analysis of data for 6 medical research studies and correlated results with clinical outcomes. • Planned and worked on 2 national grant proposals: FONCYT (05/ 2020) and CONACYT (02/2020). • Prepared 5 scientific articles and posters selected at three regional medical and science congresses. • Arranged and executed medical and scientific meetings, symposiums, and congresses.

Responsible for the methodology of clinical nutrition studies focused on sarcopenia, frailty, sarcopenic obesity, and malnutrition. Activities included developing study protocols and documents and coordinating the data analysis and interpretation.

• Coordinated all the aspects of patient recruitment (screening, obtaining informed consent, scheduling study visits), extensive clinical, dietary & biological sample collection and management for several clinical studies in the area of nutrition and bariatric surgery in a university teaching hospital. The number of participants in each study ranged from 100 to 1000+ patients.• Research examined the influence of chronobiological, hormonal, dietetic, and genetic factors on weight loss evolution after bariatric surgery.• Ensured study activities were compliant with the GCP guidelines, and EU regulations. • Developed research-related paperwork such as protocol worksheets, and SOPs.• I served as a SPOC between Hospital Clinic, biobank, and the Pharmacology department of UB, gathering and implementing feedback from all parties for the research project. • Strong record of achievement developing and maintaining relationships with study participants, multi-disciplinary teams, healthcare professionals, and key opinion leaders. • Contributed to the design of two clinical research projects: The role of gastrointestinal hormones on poor weight loss and Micronutrient deficiencies after BS. • Analyzed data statistically and correlated results with clinical outcomes.• Proficient in conducting extensive literature reviews and critically analyzing the literature. • Taught an undergraduate course about diet assessment tools and methods for research at both individual and population level and supervised a bachelor capstone: Iron deficiency in patients that underwent BS (2014). • Trained and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students while conducting research projects. • Prepared manuscripts for scientific publications. I designed and developed my own research project at the Pharmacology Lab of Maastricht University: Sensory motor nerves against endothelin-1 on arteries

During my junior research training I performed an active role working as a research assistant in a study on the effects of diet and dietary components on human endothelial function. In addition I have the opportunity to learn several research techniques such as: Postprandial lipid test and Flow Mediated vasodilatation (FMD). As part of the training, I wrote a standard operating procedure (SOP) for both research techniques.

Worked on several projects with the aim of attract new potential donors that lead to an increase in the number of donations. I also organized meetings, updated several databases in the food bank network, among other general administrative tasks.• Coordinated a cross-functional team of 5 to set-up a representative office of BaMty in San Nicolas de los Garza.• Increased 50% the number of donations to reduce malnutrition in rural and urban communities by implementing a new project focused on in-kind and cash donations from the Central Market of Monterrey to the BaMty.• Assisted in project documentation, board meetings, and stakeholder engagement.• Developed & implemented projects to attract new potential donors whilst developing strategic partnerships that help us increase the network of the BaMty and the number of donors by 40%.• Built and maintained relationships with stakeholders and donors.

Performed individual nutritional assessment and provided medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for patients of different age group and patients living with medical conditions, and development of educational material for patients.

The rotations included Surgery, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, Renal, Oncology, Endocrinology and Intensive Care (UCI). I provided tailored medical nutrition therapy, nutrition support therapy, and nutritional assessment to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to meet the needs of the patient. My main responsibilities included: Assessment of nutritional status, development of the nutritional care plan and calculation of nutritional support. Moreover, I designed educational material aimed for elderly patients and patients living with diabetes type 2 or chronic kidney disease (CKD). In addition, I did my first observational study: Prevalence of malnutrition among the geriatric outpatients of the public general hospital #17 in Monterrey, Mexico. Finally, I designed and implemented several programs of health and nutrition promotion among patients and co-workers at the hospital

Performed nutritional assessments, provided MNT and nutrition counseling for patients of different age group and patients living with medical conditions. I delivered nutritional counseling and MNT to geriatric patients' home after discharge from the hospital. Group and individual nutrition counseling aimed for patients over 70 years old to prevent malnutrition and to promote the use of an instant food mix fortified with vitamins and minerals as part of the Chilean’s nutritional supplementation program for older people (PACAM).Moreover, I organized and lead educational group meetings for patients.
