As the team leader, I contribute to enabling regional operational goals and lead the teams in the Brisbane catchment to ensure high-quality service delivery that achieves sustainable outcomes for clients and communities. Contributing to the management of the organisation, expert advice and sound decision-making in managing the day to day operations of the brisbane services including Night Cafe, Jeays street community centre and Sandcastles programs.Applying professional practice methodologies, policy, quality standards, and relevant legislation in service delivery. Using effective understanding of staff management and personnel practices.Using high-level leadership and managerial skills to support staff to deliver services in line with community need, organisational polices, accepted standards of practice, and contractual agreements.

Facilitating a safe space for 12-25 year olds experiencing homelessness or at the risk of. Creating connections through collaboration with other services and programs to build strong referral pathways for young people visiting the space. Volunteer management with a team of 50 volunteers on rotating rosters.

Member of the Benarrawa Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander solidarity group. The Benarrawa Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Solidarity Group is comprised of both Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander and non-Indigenous community members who have come together regularly (approximately every two months) to work in partnership.It seeks to inform its members and the wider community about issues affecting the lives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and promote justice and understanding between all peoples.Participation in working groups to facilitate activities and ceremonies such as solidarity with Invasion Day, National Sorry Day, Mabo Day, Reconciliation Week, National Aboriginal and Islander Day of Celebration (NAIDOC) Week, the Annual Elders Lunch, and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cultural Awareness Workshops, as well as maintaining the “Back to Country” fund (a fund to help support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to return to Country for Sorry Business and/or contribute to funeral costs).
