Everything looked perfect on paper but I was really unhappy when I returned to work after my second child was born. I wanted to improve my career whilst also feeling stuck and like I had little choice but to keep all the plates spinning. Four years on I had become angry and resentful. Finally, when my husband told me he wanted a divorce, the plates dropped. I'd been working long hours, felt like a terrible wife, mother, daughter, and was I was thoroughly miserable. The worst thing I could imagine happened and I didn't have anything in the tank. I spent tens of thousands of pounds on courses, workshops, books and therapy and pursued an interest in coaching.
