Tanita S. Gray is a Creative Consultant based in Southern California. Her areas of focus include suatainable practcices, circular design, green economy boosts, footwear and fashion design, business development, and all aspects of cool future things. In 2011, Tanita showcased her knowledge of footwear and published last-report.com, an online footwear magazine for the shoe industry insiders and the shoe-curious. After traveling the globe developing product, Tanita decided to host local footwear factory tours in and around Los Angeles, CA becoming an advocate for domestic manufacturing.Today she is encouraging her clients to transition to a more sustainable, circular approach to their footwear collections.Besides working on commissioned projects, Tanita serves as a writer, educator and speaker on sustainable design highlighting her career and innovating ideas on the future of the fashion industry and the reduction of fashion waste. In 2020, Tanita became a member of the UN’s Catalyst 2030 Fashion Group and lead the Fashion Waste Stream Group shortly after. When approached by LASANS to discuss the issue of shoe piles in the local landfills, Shoe Waste LLC was born. Tanita has since been working on initiatives on shoe divergence from the garbage dumps.When she isn’t talking about vector images, Shoe Waste, or lasts, Tanita can be found eating french fries and watching old 1980s fantasy movies with her family and pets.
