Biomedical Engineer
CurrentProvide engineering support for new medical device product using Vibrational Optical Coherence Tomography (VOCT) to determine skin lesion boundaries. Responsibilities include:Researching, developing, and evaluating different materials, components, assemblies, processes and/or equipment.Investigating new/existing technologies for improvements.Developing test models using AutoCAD for dermal cells and skin for Finite Element Analysis (FEA).Developing a design for steady mount for the VOCT device making the device capable for scanning the thoracic, and the abdominal regions using AutoCAD and 3D printing.Identifying and resolving problems through effective use of technical and interpersonal skills.Conducting feasibility studies to verify capability and functionality.Maintaining detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.Successfully publishing paper to showing the need and efficacy of VOCT in modern clinical practice.Prepare and present project progress reports to update management and keep the team(s) informed.
