About Tanmay B.
I’m a recent graduate with an MA in Games Art from the University of Hertfordshire, looking for opportunities as a lighting and level artist in the games industry. I have a solid foundation in functional and aesthetic spatial design, backed by an undergraduate degree in architecture and over 5 years of work experience in the visualization industry, with a primary focus on Unreal Engine, Blender, and Cinema4D.My previous work experience includes real-time archviz, RnD for VR and AR implementations of the same (for marketing purposes), and animation and motion design work tailored for art galleries, museums, and large scale exteriors (projection mapping).Beyond the 3 primary tools, I'm also proficient (in varying degrees) with other relevant softwares, including (but not limited to) the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects), DaVinci Resolve, Houdini, Marvelous Designer, Gaea, and Figma. My interest in digital and visual design spans various facets, but I'm particularly drawn to the more technical aspects of the medium, such as tech art, procedural content, and graphics programming.As a side project, I'm currently working on emulating film effects - halation, bloom, highlight compression, etc. within Unreal's post-processing. I’m also learning Houdini and HLSL in my free time, though very slowly and with mixed results. My interests also include photography, cinematography, and virtual production (mostly theoretical at this stage for that last one), all of which align (almost) seamlessly with my drive to create cinematic and immersive storytelling experiences.
