Over the last twelve years I’ve lead and developed dynamic crews of up to fifty employees in varying industries from warehousing, transportation, and specialized transportation contracting with our nation’s Department of Defense. In these last twelve years, nearly the last four were spent overseeing a privately owned heavy haul company that was awarded the largest civilian contract for transporting heavy equipment the Army has to offer. In the experience garnered I’ve not only lead teams and fleets, but developed and maintained them from the ground up. In addition to DOD contracting, my main goal was to build a successful fleet to be used for public freight. Within 3 years I was able to champion a team of heavy haul trucks and drivers that stored, transported, and maintained customer equipment across the country or in our secure yard. While most were directly hauled for customers, we as a company did have access to broker our transportation services if necessary. In this fleet I was directly responsible for all maintenance, compliance, SOPs, record keeping, safety, permitting, and updating company policies to adhere to state and federal regulations. In addition to transportation, my customer relations were unmatched. Not only have I developed relationships with multiple construction and earth moving companies, but with equipment manufacturers and state agencies as well. These relationships helped expedite transportation and permitting while giving our clients the sense of security they needed and deserved.
