Following a year with HPEI I was promoted to manage Hockey Operations in addition to leading Communications for the Organization. In this role I overseen all things Hockey Ops for Minor Hockey across PEI along with the High Performance Program.

Working to strengthen Hockey Prince Edward Island’s communications department and its media relations. Duties include strategizing new communication initiatives, campaign launches, inter-departmental tasks, membership engagement, creation of press releases and statements, website development, and social media management. Working as part of the Community Services management team, managing special projects for the Director of Community Services, including the planning, researching, and coordination of large upcoming events while supporting the day to day supervision of on-going projects within the department. Notable projects include: Hockey Canada International and National.

During a working contract with the City of Summerside's Community Services Department, I took on an additional contract as requested. I took over the marketing and promotional responsibilities for the City's recreational hub, "The Credit Union Place", tasked with creating content and awareness for events within the city while also working on sponsorship.

As our outdoor sport & recreation facilities open for the season, I worked alongside the City's Programming & Scheduling Coordinator to assist in the overall general operations, scheduling, and maintenance coordination of the 20+ properties. Dealt with the user groups of these facilities and ensured customer service and functionality of the sports.

Reporting to the City of Summerside's Event Manager, I was tasked with planning, organizing and executing various events in the City including Concerts, festivals, and high-level sporting events. As I worked closely with event managers from various organizations, I was able to learn valuable skills while assisting them in ensuring the event was successful.

As a Front Line employee for the City of Summerside's Community Services Department, I worked at the front desk reception desk of Credit Union Place. Eastern Canada's premier recreation and entertainment complex. Completed various administrative tasks, dealt with front line customers in person, on the phone, and via email.

Following my time in the Maritime Hockey League, I took a position with the University of Prince Edward Island in their Athletics Department. I had the opportunity to work within the Atlantic University Sport (AUS) league with the talented sports administration management team at UPEI in supporting them with day to day administration items while handling.

As a Front Office Business Director with the Junior "A" Hockey club, I was in charge of all social media platforms (@SsideCapitals) and tasked with coming up with interactive content for fans. Updating the team website and writing game preview/recaps were also among my communication responsibilities. In addition to my Communications role, I also organized.

Worked for PEI’s Source for Sports - Summerside location. Dealt with customer requests, inventory, and handled cash while working collectively with co-workers. The Hard goods section of the store was my specialty, along with providing professional customer service.
