My love for design stems from something I used to do as a boy. My parents use to take me “dream building.” This was a technique for them to envision their dream home. Mostly it was driving around and critiquing the custom homes and comparing the styles to see if the designs were well thought through. I loved it. Because of this I have been studying and working to create beautiful design since I graduated from Mesa High in 2002. I worked for several years building custom cabinetry and remodeling High end custom homes until the economy tanked. I needed to have further education if I was ever going to see my own thoughts and designs built. I decided to further my education at MCC. I loved the program at Mesa and learned how to make my design concepts realize on paper.I would describe my style as vintage and natural. I am inspired by symmetry in nature and I love to see it incorporated in design. I love the styles of the early 1900s. Mission, Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau are my favorite styles of this period. I like the work and the movement that William Morris started. Although he latter realized his style was too expensive to mass produce, the craftsmanship he inspired in others has changed the way I see custom design. Frank Lloyd Wright is a modern designer that I feel has been able to incorporate most of the styles I like in a tasteful well thought out way. I like colors found in nature like blues, greens and purples mixed with natural wood colors and grays and shades of whites. My designs are well thought out and I have the skill set to see a project through from begging concepts to finished projects. Along with design I love wood working and restoring furniture. I skateboard as a hobby and I like making my own boards.I’m a family man and I enjoy parenting and teaching my children to develop their passions and skills. Service makes me happy and I look forward to serving in any way I can. Life is what you make it, and I intend to make mine awesome.
