South Econ Park

I worked at South Econ Park (which is an Orange County Parks & Recreation facility) for two full summers. Ten weeks straight of forty hour weeks was true dedication from a high school and first year of college student. I mostly spent my time caring for the kids, creating fun games and activities for each camper to enjoy made me feel so happy. I made sure there was full-day schedules for my group, and that each camper was safe and having fun. I truly feel like I made a strong impact on some of kids lives. By being a positive, fun, and caring counselor I made true connections with all my campers.

Oviedo City gave me the opportunity to work with children every day for 3 full weeks. I took care of the children during the day, made sure they were learning and having fun! Although this was specifically a volleyball camp, the children I worked with were too young to make it solely about volleyball. So ensuring they were becoming educated on the basic skills involved in playing the game, while also providing fun games unrelated to the sport to keep them active and excited.
