With my innate curiosity and love for math, numbers have fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I spent my childhood exploring the world around me and finding connections between lessons taught in the classroom and applications for practical uses. Many of my questions quickly turned into temporary obsessions. I felt as if I was destined to find an answer or understanding. Because of my interest in math and my love for critical thinking, I was naturally drawn to business and actuarial science. Learning energizes me, and I look forward to any opportunity to spread my passions with others. I am inherently driven to grow and help maximize others’ full potential. Being a member of the Nebraska Business Honors Academy has allowed me to develop my problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills alongside a cohort of close peers. Serving as Floor Supervisor and Head Cashier at Westlake Ace Hardware has given me a glimpse into the operations and management of a multi-million-dollar corporation. Through my experiences in the classroom and beyond, I strive to positively impact the lives of those around me and help people become the best version of themselves. Equipped with a unique set of experiences and skills, I hope to obtain an actuarial internship while in college. With an internship under my belt, I would have a solid foundation to begin my career in an actuarial or financial full-time position post-graduation.
